Pearson yet again dominated the 2018 zone meeting with 74 1st places, 69 2nd places and 46 3rd places.  We had an excellent PE high schools meeting with 89 podium positions.  5 of our athletes, Nicole Ferreira, Anke Serfontein, Britney van der Merwe, Clarise Moolman and Mondray Barnard, were ranked in the top 20 best performances on the day and we have 5 new record holders.

After a very successful first term of athletics, 14 Pearson athletes were selected to represent the province at the 2 national meetings:

‘n Uitmuntende prestasie!!

The Pearson athletes continued their top form during term 3 and 4 of 2018.  The prestigious Hirsch Shield athletics meeting for boys was hosted by Queen’s College this year. Our combined u/17 and u/19 team finished fourth overall in the competition.  A remarkable result keeping in mind that their competition was mainly traditional boys only schools.

Congratulations to all our athletes on their incredible results this year! We are very proud of the fact that Pearson is yet again a school to be reckoned with in athletics.  We look forward to building on our excellent achievements in 2019.
