Hands of Hope Report 2018
This year the Pearson Maranatha Committee decided it was time for a change. The committee decided to adopt the Eastern Province Childrens’ Home as their new project. They also decided to change their name. The new committee name will be “Hands Of Hope” and they will focus on assisting the various orphanages in Port Elizabeth.
The committee visited the Eastern Province Childrens’ Home several times this year. For each of their visits they arranged for the donation of various essential items. For their first visit in February they collected much needed toiletry items for the children.
On their visits that followed they arranged for donations of essential stationery items as well as winter woollies .As always, the children were spoilt with healthy snacks on each of our visits.
They elected their new committee in September. For their Christmas Party that took place on 19 October, they decided to join forces with Interact and together they arranged a wonderful fun –filled party for the children.
Each child received a Christmas present from Pearson’s very own ‘Santa Claus ‘,as well as a party pack.
They invite all Pearsonites to join them on their visits to Eastern Province Childrens’ Home in 2019, as they endeavour to make a difference in the lives of the precious children.
