“Taking an image, and freezing a moment, reveals how rich reality truly is.” – Anonymous

Photography allows you to express who you are, what you feel and how you perceive the world by capturing a moment in time. The Photographic Arts Club is all about you and your camera. It currently has 47 members involved, with more joining in 2019.

Words from a few of our members:

“The PGA Club has made me explore new ideas and has rewarded me with many unforgettable experiences.” – Amy Gajjar

“PGA made me more committed to taking pictures and improving my skills, especially with action shots” – Allen Balie

“Being in the club has helped me grow in the confidence I have in myself and in the work I produce. It has also helped me feel pride in what I do when I put more effort into what I am doing.” – Jemma Purdon

The photography continues to improve, and I have no doubt that 2019 will hold many successes.

I would like to congratulate Caleb Govoni on being awarded Photographer of the year, as well as Ethan Ahlfedt and Nicole Strauss for placing 1st and 3rd respectively in the Parel Vallei High School vs Pearson High School exhibition.

Thank you for your drive, enthusiasm and initiatives this year. The club is truly running at a high level and flourishing in every sphere.

This club has many new ideas and initiatives that will be put in place, so don’t miss out!

You should always keep this in mind: “Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever. It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” – Aaron Siskind
